Each the result of a $1.8 billion gift of Ray and Joan Kroc to the Salvation Army in January 2005, at the time of the tour the  centers represented the two largest recreational facilities in the country. Presenting an overview and quick facts for each, the book is designed to accommodate each center on the walking tour, with each half of the book devoted to one facility.
