Art and production design services provided for a handful of television commercial productions. Responsibilities ranged from set design and construction to preparation and dressing; prop creation on an as-needed basis, including digital prop design; assistance with oversight of the day-to-day preparation and implementation of each commercial shoot’s specific requirements. If the economy had been better, I’d probably still be out in Los Angeles working in the field. I loved this work. Notable projects included work on shoots for Bandai Toys, Kay Jewelers, Toyota-Lexus, and Toyota-Trucks.

Responsibilities included both hand drafting for construction documentation, and Autodesk AutoCAD work. At the time, Kitchen & Associates was primarily an ArrisCAD shop, and I represented one of the few on staff with Autodesk experience, allowing me the opportunity to be involved in some notable projects, including the Arby’s restaurant prototype design for Sybra, Inc., renovations of the Hard Rock Cafe (New York, Philadelphia, and Cleveland locations), as well as a variety of affordable housing projects for HUD. I was also intimately involved in the creation of the firm’s first true internal graphics studio.
